Your career is important. You love your children.
What does balance look like for you?

The work world is adopting more family-friendly policies, but slowly. Many parents want jobs now that allow them to maximize time with their children and continue to pursue ambitious, meaningful careers.

There are many ways to define success and different paths to get there. Epicycle Group's services include: Mastermind Groups for entrepreneurs, Coaching for professionals, and Parental Leave Coaching and Executive Coaching & Leadership Development within Organizations.

We work with people committed to both engaging careers and thoughtful parenting. Whether you're an entrepreneur, a career changer, a senior leader, or re-entering the workforce after full-time parenting, we can help you achieve success in your career and as a parent.

Mastermind Groups bring entrepreneurs together in a collaborative setting once a month for a year. Through working with your cohort, hearing from guest speakers, setting ambitious goals, and increasing your accountability, you'll move your business forward faster than you would working alone.

Coaching supports professionals at critical points in their careers. Whether you're a career changer, working towards your next promotion, an entrepreneur building your business, or a new parent, coaching can provide clarity, new perspectives, and lead to a more satisfying work life.

Organizations have a unique opportunity to develop staff, strengthen teams, and retain talent. Whether you’re a seasoned leader, increasing team collaboration, or supporting managers planning for parental leave, coaching can help generate new skills, envision fresh possibilities and position employees to thrive.

The Mastermind Group has created an amazing opportunity to connect, give/get feedback, and share similar experiences with other entrepreneurs. In addition to getting useful advice and covering monthly topics that every entrepreneur struggles with, it’s also been a great motivational tool. Knowing that we have regular meetings gives me encouragement to keep moving forward, whether it’s working on personal business goals or goals set at the previous meeting. I would highly recommend this group and Sasha’s services to anyone looking for career counseling or to be a part of a group with like-minded individuals. It’s been a wonderful way to move forward with my business.

Sasha’s coaching service was motivating, inspiring, encouraging, and validating. As I neared the end of my second pregnancy and spent most of my days with my toddler (and part-time administrative work at a university), it was crucial - for me - to know that Sasha was there to keep pushing me forward to my goal of switching careers and attending acupuncture school. Her ability to keep my dream a reality was inevitably what allowed me to pursue acupuncture school. A year later, when my second child turned one, I started acupuncture school and was very satisfied to learn that this is exactly the right second career for me.

Becoming a parent for the first time is a life-changing experience, especially becoming a working mother. Shortly after having my first child, I was recruited for a high-level managerial position. Sasha assisted me in thinking through what taking on this role could look like given that I was a new parent. It was enormously helpful to have her as a sounding board. She provided a safe space for me to explore my options, asked helpful questions that helped me gain clarity, and our sessions gave me the courage to present my preferences during negotiations with my new employer. After accepting the position, I felt relieved and satisfied that I had asked for and gotten what I needed to balance this new role with motherhood.

vision

We believe that parents should be able to spend ample time with their families and have meaningful, challenging careers. Parents shouldn’t have to choose. When they have the flexibility to manage their schedules and priorities, parents can decide whether the week is organized around a soccer game or a client presentation, a business trip or a school play.

At Epicycle, we strive to make work-life balance a reality for parents who are committed to achievement and impact in their careers and thoughtful decision making in their parenting. We want children to have access to their parents when they need them. We want parents to be empowered to decide when and how often they need to be present for their children. And we want parents to maintain fulfilling careers that meet their financial responsibilities and their needs for growing and contributing to the world.

At work, we aspire to help create an organizational culture shift where talent is valued through family-friendly policies. We want parents to feel motivated and engaged because their organizations prioritize and invest in their development. We want to see vibrant, flexible work cultures that make staying in one’s current role a satisfying choice. We want organizations to recognize the importance of raising a family, and support professionals as they balance their job responsibilities with parenting. And we want employees to feel successful both at work and at home.

Ultimately, we envision national policies that support all parents at many different points in their journey of raising children. Finally, we believe in inclusiveness, diversity, and providing opportunities for those who historically haven’t had them, so all talented professionals can thrive and shine.

The Mastermind group has been a great opportunity for me as a new Entrepreneur, who’s just starting out, to make connections, learn from others, and get help with specific business problems. In my group, I’ve formed relationships with people who have provided valuable ideas through group brainstorming sessions and who I know will continue to help me as I grow my business.
